On Tuesday, November 8, the general election took place to see who would take the District 3 Commissioner seat formerly held by Dean Calvert. Calvert got caught up in some drama which lead to him losing the primary election back in May.
Harvey will be the only new commissioner elected this cycle. We wish Commissioner Harvey the best and look forward to seeing how he can serve Blount County residents.
The unofficial results with 85.71% of votes counted were
- Harvey Total=3084 83.17%
- Butler Total=601 16.21%
