First up we have the Oneonta Walmart.

As a guy that uses the restroom a lot, I like to call myself a toilet house expert. I know a good one and I know a bad one, and believe me, there are some bad ones. Now my first is gonna be a major player in our small neck of the woods with a front and a back restroom, Walmart. Now first off, on the way in, you will notice the lights will turn on for you as you step into the magnificent throne room which has been freshly remodeled. There are sinks and urinals on the left side and a baby changing station on the right. I don’t have time to pay too much attention to those right now because the mission is still in progress and door number one is open. How do I know you ask? Because of their new latch system that allows people outside to know if the stall is occupied or vacant with a red or green marker. Stall one is a small normal stall so I thought I would take a seat but realized that I was all the way against the wall on my right side. Now, unless I get into a light saber fight and lose my right arm or just sit completely sideways on the toilet it’s not a big deal, but for me, I have to do a little Michael Jackson lean to make it work. Walmart is usually good for a decently clean bathroom and keeping the TP stocked so no issues arose there. Washing your hands at the auto faucets can be an interesting experience, I always feel like Daniel Larusso learning karate and trying to get them to work. Once you have mastered the art of wax on, wax off, you can dry your hands with the loudest hand blower known to mankind and be on your way. I always enjoy a nice clean bathroom with no issues and again, Walmart is usually a decent one. On that note, I give it 4/5 deuces! πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©

Cleanliness πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©

This bathroom has a unique setup that makes cleaning a breeze. The building is made of block and sits on a concrete slab with drains in it. They can take a water hose and spray it down in a matter of minutes. The pool seems to be doing a fine job of keeping this place spotless!

Comfort πŸ’©πŸ’©

When you first enter the restrooms you are greeted with a tasteful music selection that will keep you in a great mood during your bathroom visit. It looks like they were making use of the space they had to deal with, so you may have to do some interesting yoga poses to fit in the stall. With only about a 10-inches of clearance between the front of the toilet and the stall door, your shoes are bound to be sticking out from under the door. In the men’s restroom, there are no dividers between urinals which can get a little weird if it’s crowded.

Supply/Functionality πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©

The toilets and sinks all function properly, and the supplies were well stocked. The women’s bathroom stalls did not have a latch. Here’s an amazon link for a cheap simple fix for under $10!

Marvins, the local home improvement and hardware store could use an update in the lavatory. Oddly enough, they don’t actually carry 90% of the items needed to update their own bathroom but they do have a great selection to fix yours. At first sight, it appears the floor may be dirty but it is actually just worn from years of weekend warriors, DIY-ers, and contractors that needed to make a pit stop. The bathroom was overall clean and the supply levels were good, but not fully stocked. One ingenuitive feature they incorporated is the bucket under the soap dispenser to catch the soap drips from the leaky dispenser (at least it has soap in it!). If Marvins decides to update the bathroom, I’m sure they will have an easy time finding the right person for the job given the audience they supply.
