Winter may be arriving a little early this year. There is a chance of rain and snow on Monday evening so make sure to have you winter weather plan ready, it is 2020 after all! No impact is expected but it is better to be safe than sorry! Meteorologist James Spann posted via Facebook, “A few sprinkles or snow flurries are possible late Monday and Monday night as a deep upper low moves over the region… if we do see any snow flakes we expect no impact or accumulation; the big story is the cold air. By Tuesday morning, we expect lows in the 20-26 degree range over the northern half of the state with a clear sky and diminishing wind.” The danger in Alabama is the rain before the cold. Watch for icy roads and keep a warm blanket in your vehicle just in case you need it. Stay up to date on the weather by checking James Spann’s Facebook Page.
