On Tuesday, April 6, Mayor Jerry Jones was arrested on ethics violations. The Alabama Ethics Commission reviewed two complaints in October of 2020 and Chief Justice Lyn Stuart stated that “based on evidence as presented to this Commission, there exists cause to hold that Jerry Jones has violated the Alabama Ethics Law.” The Case was then sent to District Attorney Pamela Casey. Mr. Jones was booked at 2:47 pm and released on a $20,000 bond at 3:29 pm.
