Businesses in Blount County may notice a letter (like the one below) in the mail stating you have a new waste provider. On May 5, 2021, Republic Services purchased Santek Waste and sold the commercial division to Ecosouth Services. The transition may be a step back for some businesses as Ecosouth does not have autopay services at this time. It appears there has not been a rate change from the transition. The phone number on the letter and the bill (both are different) are incorrect or non-functioning as of June 14, 2021. The correct phone number for them is 205-922-5810
