Americans are hurting from high fuel prices and are calling for a gas boycott to help drive down prices at the pumps which have skyrocketed over the past year. Gas prices are averaging over $5 across the United States and at least one person decided to do something about it.

Tik Tok user @aidans_98_prelude made a video that now has 10M views urging drivers not to buy gas on July 3-5 as a form of protest to hopefully bring down fuel prices. Supposedly a similar effort has been made in the past and was successful.

Will a gas boycott work? Who knows, but it’s not too much of an inconvenience to fill up a day or 2 early and find out. With nothing to lose why not give it a shot?
