Stimulus Checks

Stimulus check will be available to the same income range as the last time. As of now, checks are $600 for adults and dependents. Direct deposits are likely to be made by January 4, 2021, but could take a few days for processing. Paper checks and debit cards will likely be mailed on January 22nd. There could be amendments to add higher payments, but as of now, the $600 is what is coming. If you have changed bank accounts, your deposit will get rejected and you should get a paper check. Make sure your address is up to date so you get the check. You can use the change of address tool from USPS to get that up to date. Adult dependents will not get a check, unfortunately. If you missed out on the last stimulus check or miss this one, you can claim it when you file your taxes.

PPP (Paycheck Protection Program)

You can get PPP if you were in business as of February 15, 2020. To qualify for the second round, you must have a 25% decline in revenue compared to the same quarter last year.

EIDL Grant

You will be eligible for an EIDL Grant if you are a sole-proprietor, LLC, S-Corp, or are any other form of self-employed. EIDL grants will be $1000 per employee, you are an employee of your own company even though you may not have yourself on the payroll. You can get up to a $10,000 grant if you are in a low-income community and you have suffered an economic loss of greater than 30% during an 8 week period between March 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020, and have 300 or fewer employees.
